We provide exciting and engaging activities to children and young people across Dorset, and we are looking for enthusiastic sports and physical activity leaders to join us.
About Us: We are a dedicated team of sports coaches, leaders, and fitness instructors committed to keeping young people active and enjoying sports. Our mission is to make sports fun and accessible for everyone. We engage with youth groups, day camps and community events through the school holidays, weekends and evenings.
The Role: As an Action Van Sports Assistant, you will travel to groups and events across the county to lead sports and activity sessions. You will work closely with colleagues to deliver these sessions, gaining valuable experience and sharing your own ideas. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in diverse settings, collaborate with a passionate team, and make a real difference in the community.

Skills, abilities & knowledge
- A reasonable standard of literacy and numeracy to be able to plan sessions as well as follow written plans and instructions.
- Able to help lead sports sessions to groups
- Ability to analyse situations and create solutions to problems.
- Good communication skills
- Aware of health and safety, ideally in a sports environment and when working with young children
- Understanding of health and safety
- Effective interpersonal skills
