Beaucroft College is a new Post-16 facility based in School Lane, Wimborne, which opened in June 2023. It has been fully refurbished inside and out while still maintaining the character of the original building. The College site also benefits from its own on-site café, the very popular Café 1HQ, and Wimborne Community Garden. It is a superb site and is in need of a Caretaker to maintain it.

Our College Caretaker must:
- Have a “can do” attitude;
- Be trustworthy and responsible;
- Contribute to the security, safety and maintenance of the Beaucroft College site;
- Be confident and competent with tools;
- Be willing to provide occasional on-call support, such as, in the event of the College fire alarm sounding;
- Be friendly, approachable, confident and comfortable to work alongside college students; organising, risk assessing and supporting students to have the fantastic opportunity of on-site work experience in maintenance and tool use;
- Have a good sense of humour.
The College Caretaker will be supported by our Site Manager who oversees both the School and College sites.
A unique aspect of the role is the opportunity to support student work experience in maintaining the College site, working alongside our fantastic young people.
The position is offered as 37 hours per week, worked Monday – Thursday 8.30am-4.30pm and Friday 8.15am-3.45pm during term time. The Caretaker will be contracted for 44 weeks per year, term time plus the equivalent of 5 weeks to be worked during school holiday periods as mutually agreed.
The salary is based on Dorset Job Evaluation Grade 6, Spinal Column Point 6 to 9.
