About the Post
We are looking to appoint a flexible and enthusiastic Admin Officer to join our expert team of admin staff in our large junior school.
This role would be working Monday, 8:30am to 4:00pm (with a 30 minute lunch break) and Wednesday & Friday 8.30am to 12.30pm.
About our School
Christchurch Junior School is a large, popular community school, which caters for almost 500 children aged between 7 and 11 years. The children spend four years here. The classes are organised in year groups hosting four classes each. We are an inclusive school and welcome children from all walks of life and all faiths. The children enjoy excellent facilities in modern premises. Our facilities include two halls, two libraries with computer technology, a multi-purpose room where cooking, art and science can be taught, and a specialist Music Room.

Who we are looking for
We are looking for an outstanding individual who will relish the opportunity to:
- Ensure a comprehensive administrative/clerical and secretarial service
- Complete appropriate data input and paperwork associated with student database and student subscription services (e.g. Arbor)
- Undertake general office duties
- Receive telephone calls and take appropriate action
- Provide support with the processing of incoming/outgoing mail

We would love to hear from you if you:
- Have a minimum of 5 GCSEs A*-C (9-4) or equivalent office experience/vocational qualifications.
- Possess excellent communication skills
- Have an approachable manner as there will be daily contact by telephone/face-to-face with the Headteacher, staff, students, parents and other visitors
- Have the ability to work accurately and in an organised and professional manner
- Relish the challenge of working in an educational environment and effective team
