St Osmund’s CE Middle School is an over-subscribed Middle School located in the thriving County Town of Dorchester. The school is proud to be a part of the Wessex Multi Academy Trust and the successful Dorchester Area Schools Partnership.
We are seeking an energetic, enthusiastic and motivated childcare assistant to work in our out of hours club; after school 3pm – 5.30pm, 5pm on a Friday. The club is attended only by pupils of St Osmund’s school. Applicants with children at St Osmund’s will be able to have their children in attendance at no charge when on duty. Currently we offer before and after school sessions, it is envisaged that we may also need to offer provision in the
Candidates should hold a level 2 childcare qualification or above alongside an excellent standard of English and Maths. Ideally the candidate would also hold a first aid qualification, training will be offered if required.
The hours are 12.5 per week during the term.

The salary will be calculated pro rata and is based on the number of hours and weeks worked and paid annual leave entitlement for an employee under 5 years service.
This role is UK based and your Right to Work will need to be established as part of the appointment process.
The salary quoted is the annual salary for the position at the time of advert and this will be paid in 12 equal monthly instalments. In the first year of service this salary may need to be adjusted to ensure you are paid accurately to reflect your holiday entitlement. A similar adjustment may be made at the point your employment ends to ensure that you are paid accurately for the number of days worked in any academic year.
