Project Engineer 

37 hours per week - Permanent 

£36,922 - £42,821

County Hall, Dorchester 

Come and join us as a member of the Flood Risk Management team. We are a small team focussing on reducing flood risk from surface water, watercourse and groundwater sources of local flooding. Our priorities include supporting delivery of sustainable flood risk development, investigating flood events, consenting / enforcement activities within watercourses and development of local flood risk management schemes. We are very much community focussed and have achieved good working relationships with vulnerable flood risk communities. 

What you will be doing

This senior position involves a varied workload of activities, including acting as lead on responding to major planning consultations as Statutory Planning Consultee for the management of surface water. The work involves collaborative working with all interested parties to achieve reduction in flood risk.

We are looking for a self driven motivated person with a passion for supporting flood risk communities in a sustainable manner. Skills considered essential include:
