Are you looking for an interesting, varied, and challenging role in a busy environment? Do you enjoy learning to use new ICT tools and have the ability to help others learn? We are looking for someone to join our friendly team supporting our Planning and Building Control Services.
Our Data and Performance team are system administrators for the Mastergov Software now used in Planning and Building Control. We've invested in our service, restructured and recruited and converged onto one system. So far we've transferred over 4.3 million documents, 47 years worth of data and moved 285 people onto our new system and now we are ready to transform how we work and use our software to help improve our in house processes and the service to our customers.
What you will be doing
On a daily basis you will be supporting the Planning and Building Control teams in their use of Mastergov and QGIS ( Mapping software) this could be problem solving, creating or amending templates or developing new functions.
You will also be required to help support members of the public and stakeholders in their use of the online services.
The Data and Performance Team also provide general administration support such as invoicing, producing stats, FOI requests and history searches.
About you
We are looking for a team player with good interpersonal skills with the ability to build and sustain good working relationships.
You will be responsible, organised and able to work on your own initiative, prioritising tasks accordingly and working to defined deadlines.
You will need to have an inquisitive nature and ability to problem solve.
Be confident in your use of a range of IT products, be able to pick thing up easily and have an interest on how to improve things.
Previous Planning / Building Control / Mastergov or QGIS experience would be advantageous but training will be provided.
