Senior Service Support Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Central Service Support Team in Adult Care Operations and we are looking for someone to take on the role of Senior Service Support Officer.

The post is 37 hours per week and the hours will typically be worked Monday to Friday in a hybrid way between County Hall, Dorchester and home. Our flexible approach supports our employees to have a great work - life balance, with your wellbeing at its heart.

What you can expect to be doing:

You will be part of a small team and will be involved in a range of activities to support our services. One of the main focuses for this role will be around offering advice, guidance and good practice for our Protection of Property work. This will also involve supporting our professional Social Work staff on initial Protection of Property visits.
Another key focus will involve providing administrative and notetaking support for some of our upcoming forums and boards.
You will be required to build lasting professional relationships, work collaboratively with others both inside and outside of the Council and to provide a high level of customer service at all times.
The opportunity to design and implement effective ways of working are available for you to explore and develop. At times you may be asked to provide some support for small pieces of project work and occasionally provide cover for colleagues. The ability to respond and adapt to emerging changes will be necessary.
You will be expected to handle sensitive and confidential information in a trusted and professional way, adhering to Council policies and procedures.

. To have previous experience and skills of notetaking at a variety of meetings
. To have good listening skills and the confidence to ask questions so we can get things right first time
. To have good customer service skills and the ability to provide accurate and clear advice
. To have an understanding of our responsibilities when handling sensitive information
